INSIGHT · APPLIED AI

From report to automated summary.

How to integrate an LLM into a governed reporting process to generate summaries, commentary and key points.

Applied AI creates value when it works on governed content and is embedded in a real business process. A practical example is the integration of reporting and LLMs: a report is not only distributed, but can also be accompanied by an automated interpretation generated from controlled data and prompts.

Applied AI LLM Reporting EP-Reporter

From report to immediate interpretation

EP-Reporter can use the generated report file as input to an LLM service. The client defines the objective, tone and required content through a custom prompt; the output can then be inserted directly into the email body together with the report.

Examples of use

  • Executive summary of the main content.
  • Commentary on results.
  • Extraction of key points.
  • Targeted extraction of information according to the defined prompt.
AI does not replace governed reporting. It complements reporting by adding a more immediate interpretation layer to content that is already controlled, distributed and consistent.

Why governed data comes before AI

A generative model can summarize or comment on content, but output quality depends on the information context it receives. This is why E-project's approach starts with structured data, reports and processes.

Prompt and control remain with the client

With EP-Reporter, the client retains control over the LLM service and the prompt. This makes it possible to define tone, objective and output type according to the specific use case.

The AI service is purchased separately by the client and is subject to its own costs and terms, separate from EP-Reporter.

Beyond reporting

The same approach can be extended to other areas: documents, classification, information summarization and process support. The principle remains the same: AI embedded in a governed context and focused on a concrete operational outcome.
